Automotive and Energy REU at Oakland University in Rochester, MI

Spend your summer near the headquarters of FCA, Ford, GM and over one hundred automotive suppliers in southeast Michigan !   Automotive and Energy Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) at Oakland University in Rochester, MI The 10-week summer AERIM Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program at Oakland University (OU) provides opportunities for 10 motivated, talented undergraduate students to work in teams on automotive and energy-related research projects in mechanical engineering. Special focus on internal combustion engines, fuels, automotive manufacturing processes, automotive materials, alternative propulsion systems, batteries, and energy. All REU participants will receive a $5,000 stipend, a meal allowance, travel allowance to offset the costs of travel to OU, and free on-campus housing(if in-person). Airport Cooperative Research Program Graduate Research Award Program

The Airport Cooperative Research Program, a program of the Transportation Research Board of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, offers $12,000 Graduate Research Awards that include mentoring by national experts assigned by the ACRP, facilitation of access to ACRP resources, a n   expense-paid research presentation at the Transportation Research Board annual meeting in Washington, DC, and publication in the Transportation Research Record.  Students must be supervised by a faculty member and be attending an accredited higher education institution in the U.S. or Canada.  U.S. and Canadian citizens and permanent residents are eligible as are students who have an active student visa throughout the award period.   The application is made online with components including a research proposal, faculty advisor commitment, resume, transcripts, writing sample, and other elements.  Applications are due on May 15, 2022.  Twelve awards are anticipated for the 2022 – 2023 Ac

REU in Engineering Education

Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Florida The University of Florida Departments of Chemical Engineering and Engineering Education will host a ten-week paid summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU - $6,000 per student in addition to housing, meal allowance, and travel support), focusing on engineering education research  from May 28 to August 5, 2022 . Undergraduate students (in either 4-year or 2-year schools) in a science, technology (including engineering technology), engineering, or mathematics (STEM) disciplines are welcome to apply to this opportunity working directly with Dr. Rivera-JimĂ©nez on research being conducted regarding the influence of national professional societies (i.e., AIChE, ASEE) in facilitating faculty agency toward changes in the curriculum and teaching practices regarding the social implications of the engineering profession (e.g., social justice, inclusive teaching).  Learn more and apply .
