Research Experiences for Undergraduates - Michigan Tech

Michigan Tech is inviting applications for the NSF-funded REU site program - TECH SCEnE, this summer. TECH SCEnE is a unique bio-inspired, community-centric STEM program. The program is in collaboration with the Natural resources department at the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community (KBIC). Participants will work with mentors from Michigan Tech and KBIC. Projects offer opportunities for participants to enjoy the beautiful outdoors of the Upper Peninsula. Past projects include water quality testing for heavy metal contamination, smart adhesives for underwater applications, underwater acoustic modems for remote monitoring, simulating daylight for hatcheries, and applications of electrospun nanofibers.

  Undergraduate Research Day applications are due   Wednesday March 6 th   2024.   CALL FOR PROPOSALS   UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH DAY will be Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.,   at the Thurman White Forum Building, 1704 Asp Avenue, University of Oklahoma.     What is URD?   • Undergraduate Research Day is an annual event for undergraduate students to present their research and creative works in a formal conference setting. OU students from all fields and disciplines are invited to participate! • Students will give presentations of 12-14 minutes in length, which can include visual or multimedia support. Live performances of creative works are also welcome.    • All sessions will include two judges and all presenters are eligible for cash prizes.     Who can participate? •   All undergraduate students at OU are eligible.   You do   not   need to be a member of the Honors College to participate.   • Students who have received Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program grant
