The SCGSR program provides supplemental awards to U.S. graduate

students to pursue part of their graduate thesis research working side

by side with science and engineering experts at a DOE laboratory or

facility. Graduate students who are passionate about their

research in the following areas are encouraged to apply:


Biology | Chemistry | Physics | Materials Science

Engineering | Mathematics | Computer or Computational Sciences

Environmental Sciences

Energy and Dr. Maria Taydem, Project Manager from the Oak Ridge Institute

for Science and Education for more information about the SCGSR program

and for tips on creating and submitting competitive applications.

Both workshops will include question and answer sessions.

Undergraduate Research Day April 13 2024 CALL FOR PROPOSALS

  Undergraduate Research Day applications are due   Wednesday March 6 th   2024.   CALL FOR PROPOSALS   UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH DAY will be Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.,   at the Thurman White Forum Building, 1704 Asp Avenue, University of Oklahoma.     What is URD?   • Undergraduate Research Day is an annual event for undergraduate students to present their research and creative works in a formal conference setting. OU students from all fields and disciplines are invited to participate! • Students will give presentations of 12-14 minutes in length, which can include visual or multimedia support. OU Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity (UReCA) Summer Fellowship

Building off a successful summer of 2023, I am pleased to announce the Provost’s Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity (UReCA) Summer Fellowship for Summer 2024.   The Summer UReCA Fellowship is intended to provide support to enable students to perform undergraduate research or creative activity over a ten-week period during the summer. The UReCA Summer Fellowships are open to all students in any discipline supervised by an OU faculty mentor. The research or creative activity performed over the summer should result in a thesis, journal article, presentation, show, or performance that contributes to the creation and dissemination of knowledge and creative works.     The Summer UReCA Fellowship provides a $5,000 stipend for the student and $1,000 to the faculty mentor to help support the student’s research and creative activity.
