Engineering Pathways GCoE Undergraduate Research Fellowship applications open for Spring 2023

To support access to undergraduate research for students who may be bypassing these opportunities for outside employment, funding is available through the Tomorrow’s Engineers fund from Dolese for approximately 12-15 undergraduate research fellowships for Spring 2023. The two different fellowship opportunities are:

  • Engineering Research Entry Apprenticeships for students new to research. Maximum budget $3,000 with minimum $2,000 for student stipend.
  • Engineering Research Fellowships for students with one semester of research experience with the faculty member already. Maximum budget $3,000 with minimum $2,500 in student stipend.

Applications are to be completed collaboratively by a student working with their current or potential research mentor. Detailed guidelines and proposal submission instructions for each type of fellowship are available at the undergraduate research website https://www.ou.edu/coe/research/undergrad. Proposals and supporting documents must be submitted through the GCoE UR Application Portal: https://tinyurl.com/GCoE-UR-StuApp before Nov 14. Read the guidelines carefully for what information is required, including budget guidelines.

Also, you may attend an Information Session on the Undergraduate Research Application Portal! You will get an overview of how to use the application portal to find a potential faculty mentor and to apply for specific opportunities in GCoE. Choose from two sessions offered via Zoom – register to receive the link and a calendar appointment to add to your calendar!
