12-week REU at Clemson University - includes a $7,000 stipend

12-week REU at Clemson University – Students will study the effectiveness of virtual- and augmented-reality for enhancing collaboration. The program takes place on Clemson’s campus and includes a $7,000 stipend. The lead investigator is Dr. Madathil a faculty member in the School of Industrial Engineering.

Clemson is hosting a National Science Foundation (NSF) supported Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program this summer, focused on investigating the efficacy of virtual and augmented reality-based environments for supporting collaborative work.

This NSF-supported program offers a unique opportunity for STEM undergrads to participate in a research project, with all activities conducted on Clemson campus. Over the course of 12 weeks, REU students will explore the effectiveness of virtual and augmented reality for enhancing collaboration, while gaining valuable experience in independent and team-based research. We invite applications from undergraduates with a solid academic background, exemplary communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively in both independent and collaborative settings, who also have an interest in pursuing an advanced degree upon completion of their current degree.

And the best part? REU students will receive $7,000 for their participation in this full-time, 12-week summer position.
