Paid Summer Research Experience for Undergraduate Students in Cell Manufacturing - Apply by Feb. 15

The NSF Engineering Research Center for Cell Manufacturing Technologies (CMaT) announces its Research Experience for Undergraduates (RE) program for summer 2023. The REU program will fund undergraduate students to work in CMaT labs at Georgia Institute of Technology (GT), University of Georgia (UGA), University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez (UPRM), and University of Wisconsin at  Madison (UW).

  • What CMaT REU Offers:
  • 10 weeks of hands-on research at GT, UGA,
  • UPRM or UW
  • $6,000 stipend per student
  • Housing, meal, and travel allowances
  • Grad school prep, faculty mentoring, professional development, and social engagement with other students on campus
  • Networking with partner REUs
  • Multiple presentation opportunities including the CMaT Annual Retreat

Program Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Must be currently enrolled in a science or engineering undergraduate program (biology, chemistry, physics, materials science, bioengineering, computer science, and related fields)
  • Students from underrepresented minority groups, women, and individuals with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply

  Undergraduate Research Day applications are due   Wednesday March 6 th   2024.   CALL FOR PROPOSALS   UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH DAY will be Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.,   at the Thurman White Forum Building, 1704 Asp Avenue, University of Oklahoma.     What is URD?   • Undergraduate Research Day is an annual event for undergraduate students to present their research and creative works in a formal conference setting. OU students from all fields and disciplines are invited to participate! • Students will give presentations of 12-14 minutes in length, which can include visual or multimedia support.
